just watched 'inside a dalek' episode of the new Capaldi series and felt compelled to doodle a dalek fathership .

This is what happens - I was looking for reference on the internet - an image of Morissey pops up and I thought to myself-" he's got a good face , got to draw that ." unfortunately he ends up looking like the love child of Danny Boyle and will young !... and I've wasted time .

I think I would like to board at least one episode of Doctor who in my life . - must get around to that some day .

Milan or Tottenham - doesn't matter . he'll still fall over on a blade of grass !

I was watching the movie and copied a few panels . Drawn on toon boom's storyboard pro program via cintiq . I don't draw on paper anymore !

The Golden Compass - the bear fight

The long awaited movie of the Golden Compass based on the trilogy of books by Philip Pullman ( known in the UK as "His Dark Materials ") was released at the beginning of this year ( 2008) . Very early in the production I was asked to board an anamatic of the bear fight which was to be part of a half hour HD presentation pitch to get the movie green lit .The completed anamatic had full dolby surround , sound fx , the works - I only saw it once at a special screening at Cinecite in London . I never managed to get a copy due to the then Director, Anand Tucker leaving the project . i thought my connection with The Golden Compass had ended at that point.
I am pleased to say that much of the sequence remains in tact in the film . i produced over 200 drawings drawn with pen and ink on paper and then colour rendered in photoshop . What follows is just a selection from the full anamatic .
