valentines' day

This is the Valentines' card i drew for my wife, Selena ( yes Gary i know - only if you're sure !) I'm not sure how romantic it is but it made her laugh . Edwin has assumed the character of powerman recently and using his drumstick of power along with his glasses of power he can hover about 3 feet off the ground ( using the dad of power as his sidekick !) my little girl ,Delila is the one with the real powers obviously. .
If you look carefully you will see hearts dotted around the picture . The exact amount will show how many years we have been a couple . answers next blog .

Apart from this being a terrific drawing, there are some peculiar things going on with your blog.
Type wont show, then it appears when you drag over it...alll very strange.

I forgot to mention.
There's a bit of Mort Drucker in this picture - and one of his contemporaries whose name I can't for the life of me think of.

Very nice.....really, I'm not just saying that. Top notch! I like the bloated man character....nice muted colour choices.

Cool idea for this drawing!

Continuing with my questions about storyboarding...I have a long night sequence I'm boarding, how do you handle making it really feel like Night-time in this rough form with no color? I've added value to the drawings at times, I just don't want to color each one at this stage...yet I want the audience to know it is dark.

I came to your blog via Joe's blog...man I'm glad I did...
I simply adored your bird and the chimp collection...lovely gestures there...

Seriously it amazes me what a mind can imagine....and what an artist can perceive and strive to achieve…
I mean animation as an art form started in its rawest state...and look at it now...

Surly it has evolved so much...I wonder if Winsor MaCay was here, what he would have said...from Gertie to Tarzan to lion king...
I'm glad I'm living to experience this...

Thanks for sharing your artworks...
Will come back to see more...

Keep it up. it really brings a smile across my face….cheers :)

very nice Dean. did I count 7? It's really late, I could be wrong.

Yeah, Dean, the blog is buggy, Frankly I think the issue of the type not showing up has to do with the template. Jason Groh used to use the same template and had the same problem.

Nice drawing- looks like a Mad Magazine drawing.

Lovely work Dean, very cool stuff, and I see we have plenty of industry connections via Corpse Bride and Aards (it's a small, small world). Glazey directed me here. Would love to chat further, fella. Do check out my own big fat art blog (that goes for the rest of you too!)
