The movie was wonderful, truly inspiring work, you're lucky to have a friend like Uli, I'm glad he convinced you to do this, can't wait for the next update =]
Did you by chance work on the Animated Bean (like Michael Schlingmann and Sharon Smith)? I saw some fine boards that I think were done by you at Purdums when I storyboarded a Bean show in 2001. One had Bean tormenting a mime that was posing as a cupid statue in a fountain...
Incredible designs and paintings. I am very pleased you were persuaded to create your own blog. You have so many talents all wrapped up into one. You can really tell you spent a lot of thought and effort into making each sketch/piece into it's own idea. What can I say man, I really enjoy your work. I will bookmark your blog and make sure I keep comin' back for more. Thanks for the coffee breaks in the morning, REALLY fun stuff.
If you get time, please check out my blog and let me know what you think. Thanks!
thanks to everyone for so many comments so soon .its quite inspiring to know people are out there looking at my work .i will post more very soon rest assured . its also great to see all your blogs too - i thought the animation world was small . now it feels even smaller and somewhat cosier too !
arna -- yes i do know michael and sharon . sharon was one of the other storyboard artists on the corpse with me . we go way back ( richard william's - thief and the cobbler ) i did draw the mime episode of mr bean - it was a very challenging episode to board as i had to make each scene read clearly so that the specific mimes could be understood even at the storyboard stage . what that boiled down to was simply a lot more drawing in no extra time !! great designs to work with - (my friend Steve Small)
alberto - you're barking mad ! but you can bloody draw .
